Dear Campus Community,

Nearly 500 COVID vaccines were delivered to students in Memorial Hall
today. I appreciate the work of the staff, volunteers and student nurses
who made this happen on the first day of age-eligibility for most
students. More
details are online here
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/news/news-archive/campus-vaccine-clinic-draws-hundreds-of-students.html>
.

We are working to create another vaccine clinic on Thursday, as well as one
next week or the following week. Stay tuned for details on both.

Vaccine appointments can also be booked by employees and students near the
airport or at Clinton Community College. Students, faculty and staff can
schedule appointments to receive one of three FDA-approved COVID-19
vaccines. State (https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/) and Clinton County (
http://www.clintonhealth.org/covid19vaccine/) web pages provide details.

*COVID Cases and Test Results*
The college recorded zero positive COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Over the past
14 days, 97 total cases have been recorded, with 40 cases active and 57
recovered.

Based on public health guidance, 48 students and employees are in
quarantine -- 19 on-campus and 29 off-campus. We respect the privacy of
those in isolation and quarantine and will support them. If you are aware,
please also respect their privacy.

Reminder: SUNY Upstate Medical University is now reporting pooled test
results directly to students, faculty and staff via email when they are
completed. These will come to your registered email address. You will be
given a link to follow, log in, and see your result. It will be either
presumed negative or positive.

If your result is presumed negative, you need take no further action. If
your result is positive, you will be contacted by the Student Health and
Counseling Center or the Clinton County Health Department with further
details. If you get the notification email before being contacted, we ask
you to self-isolate and contact your health care professional or the health
center at 518-564-2187 or healthcenter at plattsburgh.edu.

We encourage you to take steps daily to ensure the safety for you and all
around you. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, avoid
large social gatherings, and stay home when sick. More information is
online at plattsburgh.edu/COVID-19.
