Dear Campus Community,
We have added a student vaccine clinic tomorrow in Memorial Hall from 11
a.m. to 3 p.m. As with yesterday's session, these are Moderna vaccines. A
second dose will be given four weeks later.
All SUNY Plattsburgh students are eligible. International and out-of-state
students should use their local Plattsburgh address when registering.
Students must commit to receiving both doses of Moderna at Memorial Hall.
Make an appointment now here: https://apps2.health.ny.gov/doh2/applinks/
cdmspr/2/counties?OpID=BF6559ED732D0C3EE0530A6C7C16D2AE. If appointments
are full, continue to check back as these are refreshed and new times open
due to changes and cancellations.
Vaccine appointments can also be booked by employees and students near the
airport or at Clinton Community College. Students, faculty and staff can
schedule appointments to receive one of three FDA-approved COVID-19
vaccines. State (https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/) and Clinton County (
http://www.clintonhealth.org/covid19vaccine/) web pages provide details.
*COVID Cases and Test Results*
The college recorded three positive COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Over the
past 14 days, 99 total cases have been recorded, with 40 cases active and
59 recovered.
Based on public health guidance, 49 students and employees are in
quarantine -- 17 on-campus and 32 off-campus. We respect the privacy of
those in isolation and quarantine and will support them. If you are aware,
please also respect their privacy.
Reminder: SUNY Upstate Medical University reports pooled test results
directly to students, faculty and staff via email when they are
completed. These come to your registered email address. You will be given a
link to follow, log in, and see your result. It will be either presumed
negative or positive.
If your result is presumed negative, you need take no further action. If
your result is positive, you will be contacted by the Student Health and
Counseling Center or the Clinton County Health Department with further
details. If you get the notification email before being contacted, we ask
you to self-isolate and contact your health care professional or the health
center at 518-564-2187 or healthcenter at plattsburgh.edu.
We encourage you to take steps daily to ensure the safety for you and all
around you. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, avoid
