[Important Information for Employees] Organizational Update: Sponsored Research & Programs Transition

Dear Campus Community,


I am writing to inform you of an upcoming organizational change involving
the Office of Sponsored Research & Programs.


Effective April 1, 2025, Sponsored Research & Programs
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/administration-finance/sponsored-research/index.html>
will transition from the Division of Administration and Finance to the
Division of Academic Affairs. This change reflects our ongoing commitment
to strengthening institutional support for research, scholarship, and
creative activity at SUNY Plattsburgh.


This represents a return of Sponsored Research & Programs to its historical
home at SUNY Plattsburgh, and is consistent with many peer institutions. I
anticipate that this transition will facilitate expanding opportunities for
collaboration, support for faculty, and increase our success in external
funding. The Office of Sponsored Research & Programs physical location will
remain in Kehoe second floor.
