[Important Information for Employees] Active Phishing Alert involving DUO MFA- Please read

Campus Community,

We have had several users report that they are getting unsolicited and
repeating DUO phone calls to authorize access to their account, this is
happening even though they aren't attempting to login.

As a reminder you should only be getting DUO prompts when you are
attempting to login to your campus account. *If you are receiving DUO phone
calls, DUO text messages or DUO push requests and you are NOT actively
attempting to login to your campus account do the following:*

   - *Consider this very suspicious*
   - *Do not process (simply hang up the DUO phone call, don't press any
   keys)*
   - *Immediately change your password (use the change password link on the
   my.plattsburgh.edu <http://my.plattsburgh.edu> campus portal or contact the
   helpdesk)*
   - *Call or email the helpdesk for a review of your account.*

This is typically activity of a bad actor attempting to trick the end user
into allowing DUO and gain access to your account.
