[Important Information for Employees] Communications with the Federal Government

Dear SUNY Plattsburgh Community,

Earlier today, our campus was asked by SUNY Central to share the following
message:

Over the last month, several Presidential executive orders and federal
agency mandates relevant to SUNY have been issued. Many of these
orders/mandates have been challenged in court and/or are ambiguous in terms
of their immediate legal ramifications.

To ensure that SUNY is responding consistently to these orders/mandates, it
is critical that SUNY coordinate our responses across the system.
Therefore, please inform your faculty, staff, and researchers that they *must
seek legal advice* from the SUNY Office of General Counsel or the RF
General Counsel before responding to any federal agencies on matters
related to compliance with federal law on grants, contracts, and funding
proposals.
