SENT ON BEHALF OF HUMAN RESOURCE SERVICES

In August, SUNY announced a pilot Telecommuting Program

for campuses to implement. As a residential campus focused on supporting
our students, this program was not an option for many positions during the
academic year. However, this program may be feasible for additional areas
during the Winter Break. The exact dates allowed will vary by department,
but may include the time period between Monday, December 20, 2021 and
Friday, January 28, 2022.

Under the Telecommuting Program, employees will be expected to have a
regular in-person presence at the official work location. Employees should
not expect to be approved to telecommute on a full-time or near full-time
basis. The number of days and which days an individual employee may be
allowed to telecommute is determined by management based on operational
need. However, the maximum allowable days per pay period that may be
approved for telecommuting is five (5) workdays and in no event will an
employee telecommute for their full obligation.

To request to participate, interested employees must submit a
completed Telecommuting
Application and Work Plan

to their immediate supervisor. Final approval rests with the Vice
President.
