[Important Information for Employees] The Deaths of Dr. Edward Heuston and Mr. David Fountain

Dear Members of our Campus Community,

It is with a sad heart that we inform you of two members of our community
who have passed away recently: Dr. Edward Heuston, 89, professor emeritus
of English, who died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, and David Fountain, 48,
property manager for Valcour Inn and Boathouse, who died Tuesday, Nov. 23,
2021.

*Dr. Edward Heuston*

Dr. Heuston taught English literature at Georgetown University and the
University of Illinois at Chicago Circle prior to joining the Department of
English at SUNY Plattsburgh in 1968. During that time, he served as the
chair of the department. He retired from SUNY Plattsburgh in 1996.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at a later
date. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.W. Walker Funeral Home, 69
Court St., Plattsburgh, www.rwwalkerfh.com.

*David Fountain*

David Fountain, who had been diagnosed with state IV colorectal cancer last
spring, joined the staff of College Auxiliary Services in December 2008
where he was in charge of maintaining the buildings and grounds as property
manager for Valcour Inn and Boathouse on Lake Champlain.

Calling hours will be held Saturday,  Nov. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Brown
Funeral Home, 29 Court St., Plattsburgh, www.brownfuneralhomeinc.com, which
is in charge of arrangements. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in
the funeral home chapel.
