[Important Information for Employees] REMINDER | Attend in Regalia or Volunteer for Winter Commencement

Dear Campus Community,

A reminder: We are holding two smaller, in-person commencement ceremonies
in the E. Glenn Giltz Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 18 at 10 a.m. and 12:30
p.m.

You may attend as faculty and staff in regalia and/or as a volunteer to
assist our graduates. Details for both are below.

*Attend in Regalia*
Teaching faculty and professional staff can attend in regalia. We are
planning the traditional walk into the event for graduates and faculty. You
may choose which event you would like to attend.

Here are the key steps to follow in order to obtain a seat for an event:

   - *Get a Ticket. *Go to tickets.plattsburgh.edu to reserve a seat. *Tickets
   will not be available after Friday, Dec. 3. *Faculty and staff serving
   as volunteers do not need to obtain a ticket.

   - *Requirements to Attend.* In order to attend, you must have completed
   your COVID-19 vaccine series or obtain a negative COVID test taken within
   72 hours of the event. Indoor face coverings for the event will also be
   required of all in attendance. Livestream of the event will also be
   provided.

   - *Ahead: Get a Bracelet.* Attendees will be asked to pre-check-in the
   week before the event. We will share specific details as we get closer. We
   plan to have tables in the ACC for those who have completed vaccines and
   have a ticket. Attendees will be given a bracelet corresponding to their
   event time. You will be required to arrive a half-hour early for the
   commencement-day event.

*Volunteer to Assist Our Graduates*
As in past years, we are in need of volunteers for duties ranging from
ushers to check-in staff. All volunteers, like formal attendees, must have
completed their vaccine sequence.

Please email president_office at plattsburgh.edu with your availability to
support our graduates.

Our plans are contingent on the public health situation and state guidance.
Should COVID-19 cases on campus or in the region increase markedly, we may
be forced to change plans.
