Dear Campus Community,

No new COVID-19 cases were reported today within the college community.

Over the past 14 days, 32 total cases have been recorded.

Additionally, one student is in precautionary isolation having tested
negative with rapid tests but awaiting back-up PCR test results.

By direction of the county health department, 153 students (75 on-campus
and 78 off-campus) and seven employees are in mandatory or precautionary
quarantine. This includes participants in one of last week's pools examined
by SUNY Upstate Medical University who have been retested due to initial
results that were weak and indeterminate.

Those in isolation and quarantine are being released as they recover and
risk times expire.

Decisions by the health department for quarantine are based on an
assessment of potential exposure to help prevent possible viral spread. We
respect the privacy of students in isolation and quarantine and will
support them. If you are aware, please also respect their privacy.

A focus on prevention and the Cardinal Pledge, coupled with robust testing,
isolation and quarantine as warranted, are our keys to success. The daily
health screening form and the New York State COVID-19 app are also
important tools.

We continue to work in concert with multiple public health officials and
partners who are supportive of our approaches. Pooled surveillance testing
continues this week as well. Please attend if invited.

Dr. Alexander Enyedi
President
