Dear Campus Community,

This week's fifth round of pooled surveillance testing for COVID-19 yielded
no positive cases.

The results were returned from SUNY Upstate Medical University from the 741
samples taken Wednesday.

The week ahead marks the halfway point of the fall semester's on-campus
portion. We have had a healthy and safe first half and we can do the same
for the balance. What you are doing has and will continue to make a
difference. Keep it going.

Pooled testing days will continue, with students, UUP and CSEA employees
included, this coming week.

As I have written before, positive cases are expected and the reason for
all of the approaches developed as part of our restart plan. Trends
regionally demonstrate the difficult nature of the virus and why each of us
must remain careful.

We regularly update and post COVID-19-related information online at
*plattsburgh.edu/covid-19* <http://plattsburgh.edu/covid-19>.

Have a great weekend.

Dr. Alexander Enyedi
President
