Dear Campus Community,
The college recorded one new COVID-19 case on Saturday. The case was
identified through this week's pooled surveillance testing of employees.
The balance of the tests were negative. Over the past 14 days, 80 total
cases have been recorded.
By direction of the county health department, 100 students (32 on-campus
and 68 off-campus) and four employees are in mandatory or precautionary
quarantine. Two students are in precautionary isolation having tested
negative with rapid tests but awaiting back-up PCR test results.
Those in isolation and quarantine are being released as they recover and
risk times expire. We respect the privacy of those in isolation and
quarantine and will support them. If you are aware, please also respect
their privacy.
As we shift now to Thanksgiving break and fully remote classes for the rest
of the semester, please take the Cardinal Pledge each day wherever you are:
wear your mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, avoid large
social gatherings, and stay home when sick.
Dr. Alexander Enyedi
President
