[Teaching-Faculty] Information Re: Electronic Evaluations & Adjunct Reviews

On October 16, 2020, a Joint Labor Management Task Force was appointed to
review and make recommendations regarding the clarification of language
pertaining to the submission and review of evaluation materials in an
electronic format.   In addition, the Task Force was also charged with
reviewing the performance review procedures of part-time adjunct faculty.

A final report, which included recommendations labeled as Appendices C-1
through C-8, was submitted on November 12, 2020.  Both parties have
endorsed and mutually accepted the recommendations.

Due to extenuating and unprecedented circumstances resulting from the
COVID-19 Pandemic, and in the absence of a secure and confidential approved
electronic evaluation system, the Task Force also recommended the execution
of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) by and between the State University of
New York College at Plattsburgh and United University Professions,
pertaining to evaluation procedures (Cycles A, C, and F) for reviews
scheduled for Spring 2021.  Both parties have endorsed and approved the
terms and conditions of the proposed MOA.

A second Joint Labor Management Task Force was also appointed on October
16, 2020 to examine software products available on the market that provide
for the secure and confidential evaluation of academic and professional
employees.  Their work is ongoing, and more information on this topic will
be forthcoming.
