Record Rooms Available for Paper Record Storage

Do you have inactive paper records that need to be stored or records that
are ready for destruction? Space is currently available in our records
rooms.
Need Boxes?

We currently have a surplus of empty banker’s boxes in storage. To request
boxes, please email policies at plattsburgh.edu with:

   - The number of standard banker’s boxes needed
   - Your delivery location

Best Practices for Record Storage

   - Label each box of records using the *Inventory Box Label*
   - Secure labels with tape just below the handle
   - Use standard banker’s boxes (15” L x 12” W x 10” H)

Please note:

   - Larger boxes cannot be properly filed on shelving and may be difficult
   to lift.
   - Records that are improperly boxed or labeled will not be moved.

When Your Boxes Are Ready

Please send the following information to policies at plattsburgh.edu so a work
order can be prepared on your behalf:

   1. Pick-up location (building and room number)
   2. Number of boxes (identify any box over 50 lbs.)
   3. Contact person
   4. Department
   5. Destruction date or storage request
