Director of Development Faith Leach Is Retiring

It is bittersweet news to share that our colleague, Faith Leach, will be
retiring. Her last day in the office will be January 24, 2025. Over the
past 14+ years, SUNY Plattsburgh has been blessed with Faith's incredible
commitment, perseverance, and great success at securing charitable support
to benefit students and the University. It was a lucky day for SUNY
Plattsburgh when we lured Faith away from the Heart Association and she
joined the Institutional Advancement Team.

A "road warrior", Faith has traveled many miles to meet in-person with
donors but her work on the road, her personal effort to bring alumni and
friends closer to the university and to ensure the charitable giving
experience is positive is anything but warrior-like.  Her long-term
relationships are rooted in trust, honesty and good faith. (Sorry, no other
word will do.) Faith is the face of SUNY Plattsburgh for hundreds of
donors, who cannot make it back to campus. She brings the university to
them, inspires them and they have responded generously.

Locally, Faith helped establish our North Country Scholarship program, is
an active member of the campus and surrounding community, member of the
Employee Assistance Program Committee, long-time member of Plattsburgh
Rotary and is an Equity Advocate.

It is powerful to consider that Faith's work will be felt by future
generations of students and in perpetuity through the many endowments she
has helped donors to establish.


We will celebrate Faith in January with a reception for the campus
community. In the meantime, please join me in congratulating her and wish
Faith well as she prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter and more
time with her husband, Sean, their growing family, and new adventures.
