Colleagues,

There is a* Civic Learning through a Lens of Racial Equity *workshop being
held at SUNY Cortland on 5/30 that might be of interest to some of you.
This is an all-day workshop that includes a continental breakfast and
lunch. It is hosted by SUNY Cortland's Institutional Equity and Inclusion
Office, the Anti-Racism Task Force, and the Institute for Civic Engagement.

The workshop is facilitated by Dr. John Reiff, the Director of Civic
Learning and Engagement at the Massachusetts Department of Higher
Education, and Co-editor of *Anti-Racist Community Engagement: Principles
and Practices* (2023).

I know both Dr. Reiff and Dr. John Suarez, Director of SUNY Cortland's
Institute for Civic Engagement and the organizer of this event, and think
this is an excellent opportunity for some professional development in these
important areas. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to
contact me.
