Agriculture and the Environment (ENV440) is a unique class that
combines regional farming practices and environmental stewardship with an
outlook on feeding 8 billion people. This full day class is a mixture of
lecture and active, hands-on labs like making 30-minute mozzarella. We tour
the Miner Institute farm, as well as other farms and orchards in the
region. This class is part of the Applied env science program, an elective
in the Food and Farming, and the Biological Anthropology minors. This class
is a Cardinal Core Natural World general education course. Transportation
to/from the class at the Miner Institute is available.
