Feinberg Library's new ILL service is now active

*Feinberg Library's new Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service* within our
Alma-Primo system is now active.

*Alma i*s the behind-the-scenes platform that we use to manage physical
collections, digital subscriptions, and licenses. This system now supports
borrowing from other libraries—faster and more efficiently than our
existing Illiad system. *Primo *is the public interface of our library
catalog.

As we noted in our previous message, the new ILL system's user interface is
very similar to the ILLiad system. Your search selections will still
auto-populate
into an online form when you choose to receive materials not available in
Feinberg Library.

   - NOTE: For now, *only books and media* will process through the Alma
   system. Article requests will be handled automatically in ILLiad; you will
   not need to select any separate options when making requests. The new
   system will also offer *longer loan periods* in many cases, as well as *easy
   renewals*.

*Primo-Interlibrary loan quick tutorial* (see below and attached
screenshots)

   1. To borrow via Primo interlibrary loan *you must be logged-in to Primo*.
   If you see the yellow box asking you to log-in, click Sign-in and use your
   NetID credentials.
   2. Once logged-in you can *click the "Interlibrary loan" link* to
   request your book.
   3. *Verify *that the information on the auto-populated form is correct,
   then click "Send request."

That’s it! You will receive an email notice once your book has arrived. *Note:
*You will need your Plattsburgh ID to check out the book.
