Visual Artist Series lecture by Lin Xia Jiang, Painter

Lin Xia Jiang, painter, will give a presentation via Zoom this
Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 7:30 p.m.  Lin Xia Jiang is a painter and
a professor at Buffalo State College. He has exhibited his work — including
still lifes, portraits, and landscapes — nationally and internationally.
Born in the People’s Republic of China, Jiang earned a B.A. and M.A. in
philosophy from Wuhan University in 1982 and 1985 respectively, and a
B.F.A. and M.F.A. in painting and drawing from the University of Utah
art department
in 1989 and 1991 respectively. Since 2003, he has been chair of the
Department of Fine Arts at Buffalo State, where he also coordinates the
painting and drawing program. His work may be found in numerous private and
public collections.  Please plan on attending to learn more.

Please note that the Zoom invitation says the beginning time is 7:00 but it
actually begins at 7:30.  This gives the artist 30 minutes to prepare their
presentation.  Thank you for your attention to this.
