 Whether you call it hybrid, hy-flex, or multiple modality, our future will
likely include teaching some students in the room and some people online or
on webcam.

schedule Join Jen Garrett-Ostermiller, Director of the Center for Teaching
& Learning Innovation (CTLI) at Vermont State University (VTSU) for a
conversation about teaching in the hy-flex modality. VTSU launched July 1,
2023, merging three regional public institutions into one hybrid,
statewide, public university. A key modality at VTSU is Face-to-Face Plus
(F2F+) in which in-person and remote students are taught simultaneously in
synchronous sessions. This one-hour informal conversation is a chance to
talk with colleagues within and outside SUNY Plattsburgh about hy-flex
teaching – please come with questions, stories, and/or curiosity.
