The final Institute for Ethics in Public Life colloquy of Fall 2022 will
be held on Zoom on Wednesday, Dec. 7, at noon.
In this colloquy, Institute Senior Scholar Stuart Brodie will discuss the
rise of antisemitism in Germany in the run-up to Kristallnacht (The Night
of Crystal/Broken Glass), the Nazi pogram against the Jews that took place
on Nov. 9-10, 1938. He will explore this process using the perspective of
noted Holocaust historian Timothy Snyder, who argued that antisemitism
acted as a 'political resource for the Nazis,' and will ask what this might
tell us about the rise of antisemitism in the United States in recent
years.
Topic: Ethics Institute Colloquy - Stuart Brodie
Time: Dec 7, 2022 12:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
