DEI Campaign Success

The Plattsburgh College Foundation is proud to announce the success of the
“One Plattsburgh. One Cardinal Family.” campaign, which was led by the
Office of Institutional Advancement and raised $456,285 from 129 donors in
support of programs and scholarships focused on diversity, equity and
inclusion.

The gift counting period began on July 1 with the majority of gifts
arriving during November and December.  The campaign exceeded the initial
goal of matching a $50,000 challenge gift put forth by a generous alumnus
who chose to remain anonymous.

“One Plattsburgh One Cardinal Family” stimulated two additional challenges —
a $25,000 matching-gift challenge put forth by Norman Radow ’78  for the
Douglas Skopp Social Justice Scholarship and a $5,000 matching-gift
challenge put forth by an anonymous Phi Kappa Chi alumna for the Upward
Bound Scholarship — thereby increasing the impact of gifts to those funds.

Donors were offered a list of 21 Foundation funds and endowments that
support more equitable opportunity for BIPOC, LGBTQ, low-income, first
generation and other students; support diversity, equity and inclusion
programming; and/or honor iconic and influential members of the college
community for their commitment to social justice.

James Augustus Wilson Scholarship

Heidi Clute Endowed Scholarship

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Programming

Upward Bound Scholarship
