[Important Information for Students] Commencement Reminder: Ceremony Times, Tickets, and Next Steps

Dear Spring 2025 Graduates,

As a reminder, the main campus Commencement will take place on Saturday,
May 17, 2025, in the Field House gymnasium (167 Rugar Street, Plattsburgh,
NY 12901). Graduates will participate based on the school of their major:

   - 9:00 a.m. – School of Arts and Sciences
   - 12:00 p.m. – School of Business and Economics
   - 3:00 p.m. – School of Education, Health and Human Services

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your ceremony and check in on the
main level of the Stafford Ice Arena.

Guest Tickets

Each graduate receives seven tickets, available for pickup through Friday,
May 16 at these locations in the Angell College Center:

   - Information Window: 4:00–10:00 p.m.
   - Center for Student Involvement: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

If you need more than seven tickets, we encourage you to connect with
classmates or post a request in a shared space.

Regalia

Caps and gowns may be purchased through the campus bookstore, in-store or
online <https://www.bkstr.com/sunyplattsburghstore/shop/graduation>.

Creating a Great Commencement Experience

Commencement is a special occasion to celebrate your achievements with
friends, family, and the campus community. To help create a positive and
enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that you show consideration to
those around you and avoid bringing distracting items such as:

   - Balloons
   - Signs
   - Air horns or other noise-makers
   - Laser pointers
   - Flyers, posters, or flags

Livestream and Recordings


   - Each ceremony will be livestreamed at plattsburgh.edu and available
   for viewing afterward.
