[Important Information for Students] May 2025 Commencement and Ticket Information

Spring 2025 Graduates,


We look forward to honoring you at one of the commencement events planned
for Saturday, May 17, 2025 in the SUNY Plattsburgh Field House (167 Rugar
Street, Plattsburgh, NY 12901). Graduates will participate based on the
school of their major.

   -

   9 a.m.: School of Arts and Sciences
   -

   Noon : School of Business and Economics
   -

   3 p.m.: School of Education, Health and Human Services

Please go to the main level of the Stafford Ice Arena at the Field House
when you arrive. Please be at the gymnasium at least 45 minutes before the
start of your ceremony. Additional details and answers to frequently asked
questions are online at plattsburgh.edu/commencement.


Guest Tickets

Each graduate receives seven guest tickets. Physical tickets for your
ceremony time will be available during the below dates and times at the
first floor window of the Angell College Center. Please know these tickets
are distributed evenly to each graduate, and the number provided is due to
the capacity of the Field House. If you think you will need more than seven
tickets, please ask a friend, a classmate, or post this request on a
platform where your classmates will see it.


You are encouraged to pick up tickets ahead of time. These will be
available at the information desk through Friday, May 16, 2025. Those
unable to pick up tickets may get them at the Field House gymnasium ahead
of your event. Please arrive a bit early to avoid any lines.

    Information Window - Angell College Center

    Monday, April 21 - Friday, May 16

    4:00-10:00 p.m.


      OR


     Center for Student Involvement - Angell College Center

     Monday, April 21 -  Friday, May 16

     9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.



Regalia can be purchased directly through the campus bookstore in-store or
online. Orders can be picked up in person at the bookstore or shipped.


Event Expectations

Commencement is a festive occasion celebrating the accomplishments of our
graduates. It is also ceremonial. Attendees are expected to act with
appropriate behavior. Please show respect to everyone who has come to share
in the experience. Individuals who engage in inappropriate or disruptive
behavior will be removed from the event.


For the safety and comfort of all attendees, distracting items are not
permitted in the gymnasium, including:

   -

   Balloons
   -

   Signs
   -

   Air horns or noise-making devices
   -

   Laser pointers
   -

   Flyers, posters, or flags
   -

   Any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate

We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these requirements, which are
designed to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.


Livestream

Each event will be available via livestream from the university website. A
link will be provided on the main homepage the day of the events.


Recordings will also be online after the program.
