Many parking tags remain unclaimed at University Police. Only
pre-registered vehicles were authorized to park on campus, without a tag,
until the session start date. If you have not claimed your tag yet, claim
it today!

Now that the session has started, unregistered cars are illegally parked,
and must be registered asap. In addition, ensure that you paid two parking
fees in tuition. Complete both steps in MyPlattsburgh
<http://my.plattsburgh.edu/> under the STUDENTS tab. Then from the STUDENTS
page...

   - Click the PARKING icon to register/confirm a vehicle on the AUTOMOBILE
   REGISTRATION page.
   - Access your tuition bill and verify two parking fees were included. Scroll
to the bottom of the STUDENTS page, click MY ACCOUNTS link under the Student
Accounts heading (not an icon), click Fall 2025 term, acknowledge, and
then add two parking fees to the optional fees list. Click UPDATE
CHARGES below the list, and CONFIRM ENROLLMENT above the list. If you
already confirmed enrollment, without accepting two parking fees,
request a re-bill of the missing fees to parking at plattsburgh.edu.

To answer the many parking related questions...

   - Yes, you need a new tag for the new academic year. Last year's tag

   - Yes, the tag # that you see listed on the AUTOMOBILE REGISTRATION page
is your *current* tag # for the new year. If you see no tag #, retrace
your steps. You missed a step.
   - Yes, your tag must be readable from your car's rear view mirror, or
dash directly below the mirror, when standing in front of your car.
   - Yes, you are restricted to parking in lots according to your
designation: residents park in on-campus student lots; commuters park in
   off-campus student lots.
   - No, you cannot get another tag for your other vehicle. You are
responsible for switching one tag between registered vehicles.
   - No, there is not a grace period to illegally park this week. UPD
tickets 24/7/365, and student ticket writers assist during business hours.
