Dear Students,
As you are aware, advising for your fall 2021 semester course selection
begins on Monday, April 5th.
We are reaching out to provide you with essential information for your
course selections. As you already have heard, the college will be moving
back to as much in-person instruction as we can manage. Feedback solicited
by the SUNY system tells us that students find that they learn most
effectively in the classroom with their faculty members, and we have
responded accordingly in our planning for the fall semester.
Because of this, it is critical that you pay careful attention to the
*modalities* listed in the course selection schedule. If the course is
listed as face-to-face in a classroom location, that is exactly how it will
be offered. Our classrooms are not technologically equipped for hi-flex
teaching--where all modalities can be offered at the same time.
Please do not write individual faculty who are teaching in-person asking
for personal remote teaching. Having said this, if you have a significant
issue finding the courses you need to take to progress towards your degree
completion, as always, please contact the department chair and/or dean of
your school.
Thank you.
Anne Herzog, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs
R. Lizzie Wahab, Vice President of Enrollment Management
