Hi Cardinals,

Hope your semester has been going well so far!

If you don't know me, my name is Rudaba and I'm your current Student
Association President. Feel free to email me anytime, I'm here to help you

Here are some very important events and updates the Student Association would
like to bring to your attention:

1. Paid Leadership & Advocacy Opportunity - Student Association (SA)
Elections are going to start soon! SIGN-UP CLOSES APRIL 12TH.

This is a Great Student Leadership & Resume Building Opportunity that is
also paid now!

As you may or may not know, last semester, we were able to approve a
compensation model for SA officers, meaning all SA elected officers will
get paid for their time and work.

2. SA Fee Decrease for THIS Semester:

Here's a note from your SA Treasurer Saugat R. Gautam -

Hello Fellow Cardinals, I hope this finds all of you well and healthy, and
you’ve had a good start to the semester! The Student Association would like
to wish you the best for this semester and looks forward to engaging with
you in this different but hopeful semester. I am writing to let you know
what your Student Association has done to help you during these difficult
times.

The Student Association has reduced its mandatory SA fee for this semester
from $105 to $55*,* considering the difficult circumstances many of us find
ourselves in. The Student Association recognizes how tough these past
months have been - mentally, emotionally, and financially. Your Student
Association stands ready to help and support you in whatever way we can, as
all of us are in this together. We want everyone to be able to enjoy the
full Cardinal experience, and are working to reduce persisting financial
barriers to the best of our ability. We look forward to advancing the voice
of our student community and prioritizing what’s best for the community.

The Student Association will continue to provide its services for this
semester as well, with over 80 clubs and organizations, different events,
and the Student Shuttle, all operating for your benefit. We encourage you
to be involved with clubs and organizations on-campus, whether in-person or
virtually, to connect and make better for the Cardinal community.

I’d like to wish you all the best for this semester – Stay safe and
healthy, and have a good semester.

1. Black Lives Matter Mural
2. Focusing on making Resources Accessible to All
3. Demanding more DEI representation and initiatives
4. Improving Student life and involvement - SA Elections
5. Mentorship Program for All Students
6. More Events COMING SOON like the SUNY Wide Concert & more. Look out for
