Dear Campus Community,

As shared earlier today, we have obtained a limited allotment of vaccines
for distribution exclusively to students at SUNY Plattsburgh on Tuesday,
April 6.

These will be given to students in Memorial Hall from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
and again from 12:30 - 4 p.m. This clinic will provide the Moderna vaccine,
and a second dose will be administered four weeks later on Tuesday, May 4.
Students must commit to receive both doses of Moderna at Memorial Hall.

We expect these times to fill up, so students should do this promptly. Out
of state and international students should use their local Plattsburgh
address.

We are also working with SUNY to get additional doses for another dedicated
distribution on campus soon. These would likely be one-dose Johnson &
Johnson vaccines. We will share more details when they become available.

*Ongoing Other Sites*
There are other options to get a vaccine:

   - *Sign up for Clinton County standby now.* Students living on campus
and elsewhere in Clinton County who are 18 or older can also sign up for
the county health department's standby list. The county will use this list
when there are extra doses available. You can call 518-565-4848 or email
health at clintoncountygov.com <health at clintoncountygov.com> with the
   following information: Subject line: COVID vaccination standby list;
Name; Phone number; Email address; City, town or village of residence.
Indicate your Clinton County address or residence hall address.

   - *Book an appointment at the state or county site beginning Tuesday,
April 6. *All those 16 and over can then begin scheduling appointments
to receive one of three FDA-approved COVID-19 vaccines. All SUNY
Plattsburgh employees, including student employees, are already eligible
to receive a vaccine. New York also provides access to all people age 30
and older, as well as those in certain health categories. State (
   https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/
   <https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/>) and Clinton County (http://www.
   clintonhealth.org/covid19vaccine/
   <http://www.clintonhealth.org/covid19vaccine/>) web pages provide
   details.

If appointments are full at these sites, continue to check back as these
are refreshed and new times open due to changes and cancellations.

*Pooled Test Results*

SUNY Upstate Medical University is now reporting pooled test results
directly to students, faculty and staff via email when they are
completed. These will come to your registered email address. You will be
given a link to follow, log in, and see your result. It will be either
presumed negative or positive.

If your result is presumed negative, you need take no further action. If
your result is positive, you will be contacted by the Student Health and
Counseling Center or the Clinton County Health Department with further
details. If you get the notification email before being contacted, we ask
you to self-isolate and contact your health care professional or the health
center at 518-564-2187 or healthcenter at plattsburgh.edu.

*COVID Cases*
The college recorded nine positive COVID-19 cases on Friday. Over the past
14 days, 113 total cases have been recorded, with 55 cases active and 58
recovered.

Based on public health guidance, 48 students and employees are in
quarantine -- 23 on-campus and 25 off-campus. We respect the privacy of
those in isolation and quarantine and will support them. If you are aware,
please also respect their privacy.

Our caseload remains below the state threshold that would prompt a pause in
on-campus classes and operations. This spring semester, the guidance from
the state is to pause when a campus' testing positivity rate is at 5
percent over a rolling 14-day period. Our current rate is 1.34 percent.

We encourage you to take steps daily to ensure the safety for you and all
around you. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, avoid
large social gatherings, and stay home when sick. More information is
online at plattsburgh.edu/COVID-19.
