[Important Information for Employees] The Death of Mary Beauharnois

Dear Campus Community,
We are saddened to have to share another passing of a colleague. Mary Beauharnois, who retired in 1999 as principal clerk in the art department, died Jan. 1, 2026.
She joined the art department in November 1972 as its clerk and was promoted to senior clerk September 1977. The position was reclassified to clerk 2 in June 1992 and again to principal clerk in March 1993. She retired from her position after nearly 30 years Dec. 28, 1999.
Mrs. Beauharnois was an avid quilter who enjoyed traveling and her time spent as a snowbird in North Fort Myers, Florida.
There will be no calling hours. A mass of Christian burial will be held for her at St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville Tuesday, Jan. 6 at 11 a.m. Burial will be in May. Brown Funeral Home, 29 Broad St., Plattsburgh, 518-561-3980, is entrusted with arrangements.
