[Important Information for Employees] Coming August 1, 2025 : New my.plattsburgh.edu Portal + Mobile App

Dear Campus Community,

We are excited to announce that beginning August 1, 2025 ITS will launch a new
campus portal that will replace the existing portal located at
my.plattsburgh.edu — the new portal will be located at the same url but
redesigned to provide a simpler, more personalized, and mobile-friendly
experience for students, faculty, and staff.

The new portal is replacing an end-of-life solution and built around best
practices, stakeholder feedback, and aims to solve longstanding challenges
with our digital experience, including:

   -

   Easier access to key tools like Brightspace, Banner, Degree Works, and
   email

   -

   Personalized dashboards based on your role (student, faculty, staff)

   -

   A consistent, branded look and feel

   -

   A new mobile experience designed to “meet students where they are” and
   provide easy access to important systems and services.



   -

   Expanded Communication options to relay “just in time” important campus
   information.


Alongside the new web portal, we’re also releasing a companion mobile app
to give you the same great experience on the go.

What to Expect

   -

   On August 1 around noon, the new portal will officially go live at
   <https://my.plattsburgh.edu>my.plattsburgh.edu
   -

      Don’t be alarmed, you will see a new look with a new branded my
      plattsburgh logo in the upper left!




   -

   You’ll log in with your existing campus credentials

   -

   Links to all key systems will be available, but may be in slightly
   different spots



   -

   Updated role based screens will make it easier for students, faculty and
   staff to engage with the services that are important to them.



   -

   The mobile app will be available for download in the Apple App Store and
   Google Play shortly AFTER the new web version of the portal is released (a
   few days after web launch).

We encourage you to explore the new interface once it launches and provide
feedback to help us continue improving the experience.
