[Important Information for Employees] Stay Informed: Verify Your Emergency Alert Information

Dear Campus Community,

Staying informed during an emergency is essential, and we want to make sure
you’re getting all the notifications you need—whether about severe weather,
safety alerts, or even class cancellations. SUNY Plattsburgh uses SUNY NY
Alert, managed by Everbridge, to deliver important updates directly to you.

You’re already enrolled with your campus email, but did you know you can
add more ways to receive alerts? Up to two email addresses, three phone
numbers, and three text numbers can be registered, including contact
information for family members if you choose. The more ways you opt to be
notified, the better you'll stay connected.
Take a moment to verify your information:

   1.

   Log into My.Plattsburgh.edu <https://my.plattsburgh.edu>
   2.

   Select “Update my NY Alert Contact Info” under NY Alert on the upper left
   3.

   Click on “Emergency Alert Contact Information (NY-ALERT)”
   4.

   Review your contact details
   5.

   If correct, select the first option and hit “Continue”
   6.

   To update or add info, select the second option and follow the
   instructions

We’ll be conducting a campus-wide notifications test on *Wednesday,
September 18, at 11 a.m*., so make sure your information is accurate
beforehand. Whether it's for emergencies or helpful updates like class
cancellations, staying informed keeps you a step ahead!
