flu clinic is open to students, faculty and staff. *

The flu vaccine is the best way to prevent the flu. The CDC recommends that
everyone 6 months and older get a flu shot annually. Other ways to avoid
getting sick and/or spreading the flu include:

Wash your hands: Wash your hands often with soap and water or hand
sanitizer, especially before and after caring for someone who is sick,
after coughing or sneezing, and after using the bathroom.

Cover your coughs and sneezes: Use a clean tissue or your elbow to cover
your coughs and sneezes.

Avoid close contact: Avoid people who are sick, especially if they have a
fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills, or fatigue. If you
can't avoid close contact, try to maintain a distance of at least one to
two meters.

Avoid crowded places: Avoid crowded settings, especially indoors.

Improve ventilation: Open windows and doors to improve indoor air
ventilation.

Clean surfaces: Clean and disinfect surfaces and objects that are often
touched by others.

Exercise regularly: Regular moderate exercise can reduce the risk of
infection.

Quit smoking: Smoking can increase the risk of complications from the flu.

Eat nutritious food: Leafy greens such as spinach, citrus fruits, broccoli
and green tea are known to improve your immune system.

Remember that staying healthy starts with you. See you at the flu clinic,
Cardinals!
