[Important Information for Employees] Fire Incident at 94 Broad Street

Dear Campus Community,

I am writing to inform you of a significant fire that occurred off-campus
this afternoon at 94 Broad Street, a residence where several of our
students live. The fire broke out around 3 PM and, thankfully, was
extinguished quickly. I want to commend the quick response of the
Plattsbugh Fire Department, and our own University Police, who quickly
arrived on the scene.

I am relieved to report that there were no injuries; all residents and
their pets were able to evacuate safely.

Our thoughts are with the affected students during this difficult time.
The university is already coordinating with local authorities and offering
support to those impacted by this unfortunate event. We will continue to
monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
