The Information Technology Services Helpdesk and Desktop Support teams
continue to aggressively work through Crowdstike's recommendations to
resolve the Windows desktop blue screen issue. The issue has been resolved
on 50 percent of campus machines but 500 devices are still impacted by the
Crowdstrike patch/update. Various manual fix options provided by
Crowdstrike have been tried with limited success.

ITS is working on both automated and manual fix options. We can resolve the
blue screen issue manually but it requires a phone call to the ITS Helpdesk
(564-4433) and may take a few minutes with the ITS technician working with
the end user sitting at the machine.

There are 500 desktop systems impacted and expect longer wait times as we
work with campus staff to resolve the Windows issue. We appreciate your
patience as desktop systems are restored.
