Dear Campus Community,

I am writing to inform you of an upcoming change at SUNY Plattsburgh aimed
at strengthening our commitment to excellence and informed decision-making
through data.

Effective April 25, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) will be
integrated into the Office of the President. This decision reflects our
dedication to fostering transparency, accountability, and continuous
improvement across our campus.

I am pleased to announce that Dr. Kylie King, our Director of Institutional
Effectiveness, and Erin Campbell, our Associate Director, will lead the OIE
in this elevated role as an institution-wide resource. Additionally, we
will soon begin the search for a skilled programmer/analyst to further
support the expansion of OIE's functions.

In addition to meeting our Federal and SUNY reporting requirements, the OIE
will now play a key role in developing a comprehensive data strategy for
our university. This includes active involvement in strategic planning,
assessment, and accreditation efforts. Furthermore, OIE will provide
increased support for developing interactive data tools and visualizations,
promoting a culture of awareness and accountability campus-wide.

These changes come at an opportune time as we approach the conclusion of
the Plattsburgh Next plan and prepare for the mid-cycle reaffirmation of
our institutional accreditation from the Middle States Commission on Higher
Education (MSCHE).

The OIE remains committed to fostering a campus culture of curiosity,
accountability, growth, and achievement in support of student success and
continuous improvement. I am confident that these enhancements will elevate
the visibility and impact of the OIE's crucial work, further advancing our
institution's mission and goals.

Thank you.

Dr. Alexander Enyedi President
