[Important Information for Employees] Monday, April 8th - Solar Eclipse

Good Morning,

I know everyone is gearing up for the rare total solar eclipse
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/plattslife/eclipse-2024/index.html> that will
happen on Monday, April 8th.  Hopefully, everyone has discussed their plans
with their supervisor so those that want to experience this
once-in-a-lifetime event, can do so safely.

As a reminder, release time has been granted from 2pm – 4pm to view the
eclipse from Hawkins Pond, or elsewhere on campus.  Employees also have the
option to work remotely that day or charge appropriate leave accruals,
where operationally feasible.  All requests require supervisory approval,
but we are asking for the maximum flexibility possible so our employees can
take advantage of this extraordinary celestial event.

your supervisor or Human Resource Services.
