[Important Information for Employees] May 2023 Commencement Information

Dear Campus Community,

We shared details today with graduates of the Class of 2023 on the
Saturday, May 20 Commencement events. Each program will be held in the
Field House gymnasium.

   - 9 a.m.: School of Education, Health and Human Services
   - Noon : School of Business and Economics
   - 3 p.m.: School of Arts and Sciences

We are returning to the school-based approach that was used in past years.
Maximizing attendance for graduates' friends and families, as well as
changes in the number of graduates in each school, necessitated the move to
three ceremonies from the two done pre-pandemic.

Teaching faculty and professional staff are encouraged to attend in
regalia.

*Volunteering*
As we are hosting three ceremonies, we are in need of many volunteers for
each event to assist with duties ranging from ushers to check-in staff. We
encouage you to assist in one, two or all three events.

Please email president_office at plattsburgh.edu with your availability for
events to support and congratulate our graduates.

More details will be shared as available, both via email to you and on the
university website at plattsburgh.edu/commencement. Regalia is available
through the Campus Bookstore and online.
