[Important Information for Employees] Adobe Licensing changes in affect 1/1/24 - action for some users may be required

Campus Community,

Due to changes in our SUNY-negotiated Adobe contract, ITS has had to change
how Adobe product licenses are assigned to employees.

If you are a *full Adobe Creative Cloud user* (this means you use products
like Illustrator, Photoshop, In Design, etc) you* should not notice any
changes*.

If you are primarily an *Adobe Acrobat DC/Pro user* (you use Acrobat to
create or edit PDF files) *you may lose access* to run Acrobat until you
contact the ITS Helpdesk at 564-4433, email at helpdesk at plattsburgh.edu or
via our ITS service portal <https://its.plattsburgh.edu>.

Please provide the Helpdesk with your campus netid and state you need Adobe
Acrobat access. They will assign a license to your account and you will
usually regain access within 30-60 min.

Adobe installations in any computer lab or classroom will remain unaffected
by these new licensing changes and will continue to function as they did.

Please reach out to the helpdesk for additional questions or concerns
regarding this change.
