Good Morning and Happy 2022!
We hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable holiday season with family and
friends. The spring semester is quickly approaching and we have some
important updates to share with the campus. These changes are necessary for
the health and safety of our campus, as the number of local COVID-19 cases
continue to rise. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation as we all navigate
this latest version of “normal”. We are all in this together and will do
our best to support our students and our campus community as we always do.
What’s the same?
Unvaccinated employees and affiliates reporting to campus will continue to
be required to participate in weekly surveillance testing.
What’s changing?
Vaccinated employees and affiliates reporting to campus will be required to
participate in testing the first week of classes and monthly thereafter

- anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 3 months.
How does the testing work?
See the COVID-19 Testing page
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/covid-19/covid-19-testing.html> for additional
information and explanations. Many topics are covered with the Frequently
Asked Questions, so that’s the best place to start if you have any
questions.
Don’t forget - the best way to remain safe and free from COVID-19 is by
following the Social Distancing and Face Covering Policy
<https://www.plattsburgh.edu/about/offices-divisions/administration-finance/management-services/campus-handbook/section-viii-health-safety/social-distancing-face-covering.html>
.
Guidelines can be changed by SUNY, the Governor’s Office, or the CDC,
sometimes with little notice. We will keep the campus updated as we are
notified of any changes. Thank you for your understanding.
Best,
Human Resource Services
