[Important Information for Employees] Reflections on Winter Commencement and Thank You

Dear Campus Community,



A tremendous level of energy, pride, and joy filled the Fieldhouse at this
past Saturday’s commencement

celebration. A significant number of the 286 students eligible to graduate
became our newest group of Cardinal alumni as they walked across the stage
to cheers and applause. Not even the season’s first major snowstorm could
override the excitement in the room.



I want to personally thank everyone who contributed to the success of the
event, including the commencement planning group, the many volunteers who
assisted graduates and their loved ones in finding their seats, navigating
the venue, and enjoying the event, the faculty and professional staff who
donned their regalia to witness the final matriculation steps of students,
and our maintenance operations snow team who worked throughout Friday night
and all of Saturday morning to ensure that parking areas and pathways were
clear and safe for all in attendance.



This incredible collective effort exemplifies our campus commitment to
foster and support student success at every level. We could not do what we
do without each and every one of you.



I wish you all the best for a great end to the fall 2022 semester and a
happy New Year!
