[Important Information for Employees] Arrangements for Lt. Robert Mesec

Dear Members of Our Campus Community,

As promised last week, we’re sharing details on arrangements for Lt. Robert
Mesec, University Police officer who was killed in a motorcycle accident
Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Sept. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Hamilton
Funeral Home, 793 Gilbert Road, Mooers.

Burial will be Thursday, Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Mary, 86
Church St., Champlain. A reception will follow at the Rainbow Wedding and
Banquet Hall, 47 Woods Falls Road, Altona.

An honor guard of law enforcement will stand at the funeral home Wednesday
and outside St. Mary’s on Thursday. Agencies that are able to attend are
asked to contact University Police Chief Patrick Rascoe at
prasc001 at plattsburgh.edu with the number of vehicles and officers planning
to attend. Officers will lead a procession from the funeral home to the
church Thursday morning.

Our deepest condolences go out to Lt. Mesec’s family and all who knew and
loved him.
