[Important Information for Employees] Options If Your Child is Quarantined by the Health Department

Colleagues,
As our area schools are back in session and the presence of COVID-19
remains in our area, some parents and guardians may already be receiving
notices from the respective health department for their children to
quarantine.
Please be aware that state agencies are permitted to offer accommodations
for the duration of this quarantine. Quarantine documentation from the
health department is required and should be forwarded to Human Resource
Services. This option is in effect through October 12th.
Employees who are able to work from home can do so with supervisor
approval. Employees unable to work from home are allowed to charge
appropriate leave accruals.
This guidance is separate from SUNY’s Pilot Telecommuting Policy and the
Reasonable Accommodations Request consistent with Federal and State law.
