[Important Information for Employees] Sharing Concerns, Support for Those Affected by Hurricane Ida

Dear Campus Community,

The damage brought by the remnants of Hurricane Ida have affected many
members of our campus community, with a significant portion of our students
coming from New York City, Long Island and surrounding areas most impacted.
We have many faculty, staff, and alumni as well who live, work and have
loved ones in that area.

The continuing scenes through this week from news and social media accounts
are difficult to process as they document the loss of life and tremendous
physical damage to many communities directly affected by this extreme
weather.

We know many on our campus have been worried about family and friends who
have been directly impacted by this storm. Please know that I and my entire
campus leadership are here to support you as needed. Don’t hesitate to
reach out to any of us, if you need someone to talk to or any type of
support at this difficult time.

As another path for assistance, students may contact the Student Health &
Counseling Center at 518-564-2187 to make an appointment.
