[Important Information for Employees] Changes to Staffing in Special Programs

Good Morning -
I am pleased to announce staffing changes to the office of Special
Programs.  Please join me in congratulating these individuals on their new
roles.

*EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM (EOP)*
EOP is pleased to announce that *Cassie Joseph* has been promoted to
Director for the Educational Opportunity Program.
*Levi Martinez* has also been promoted to Assistant Director for the
Educational Opportunity Program.  Central Administration has approved an
increase of 100 students to the EOP program over the next several years and
as a result a search will begin immediately for two counselors (paid by the
Office of Opportunity Programs in Albany) to assist with the increased
caseload.

*STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES (SSS)*
SSS is pleased to announce the appointment of *Shawtawndra Lister*,
formerly of Admissions, as Director of Student Support Services.  *Ashley
Durocher*, who served as Director for the past year, chose to return to her
first love of working with and programming for students and will return to
her Associate Director role.  *Thomas Thompson* will assume the role of
Assistant Director and *Rachel Day* has been named Academic Success
Coordinator.  SSS is beginning its second year of a five-year grant cycle
and brings over half a million dollars a year to Plattsburgh to support
nearly 400 students annually.  It is the largest program of its kind in New
York State and 15th largest in the United States.

Please join me in congratulating these very deserving members of our
community.
