[Important Information for Employees] The Death of Brenda Kramer

Dear Members of our Campus Community,

We were very sad to have learned of the death of Brenda Kramer Sunday, Oct.
17, 2021, who served the college for 37 years, the majority of which were
spent in payroll prior to retirement. She was 71.

Ms. Kramer, the mother-in-law of Michael Caraballo, director of emergency
management, joined the SUNY Plattsburgh staff not long out of Dannemora
High School in September 1968 as a stenographer in the health service. A
month later, she became a typist in the library. A few moths later, Ms.
Kramer moved to payroll as a typist.

In May 1975, she became a payroll account clerk and moved up the ranks,
being promoted to payroll clerk I, II and III in quick succession in the
1980s. She retired December 2005.

Calling hours will be held Thursday, Oct. 21 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the R.W.
Walker Funeral Home, 69 Court St., Plattsburgh. A mass of Christian burial
will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 22 at noon at St. Joseph’s Church,
Dannemora. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. A full obituary can
