[Important Information for Employees] The Death of Dan Lewis

Dear Campus Community,

It is with great sadness that we let you know of the death of former
longtime web editor, Dan Lewis, of Plattsburgh who died Thursday, July 22,
2021. He was 57.

Dan was widely known across campus since joining the professional staff in
2001 as web editor in student affairs and enrollment management. He
continued in that role in marketing and student recruitment marketing until
his retirement in 2020.

In addition to his work in web design and management, Dan was an
accomplished musician and composer, playing myriad instruments including
guitar and piano. He lent his songwriting talents to the college over the
years, composing music for videos produced in the marketing department and
Institutional Advancement.

Originally and proudly from Buffalo, calling hours will be in Buffalo
Monday, Aug. 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service immediately
following at Lombardo Funeral Home, 3060 Abbott Road, Buffalo, N.Y.,
