[Important Information for Employees] Campus Update | COVID Cases

 Dear Campus Community,

We are writing with this week's update on COVID-19 cases and related information. Updates may also be provided as needed other days of the week.

Over the past 14 days, the campus has recorded 22 positive cases. Eleven students and one employee are reported to be in isolation. Five employees and one student are in quarantine. If you are aware of individuals affected, please respect their privacy.

End of Fall Semester/Beginning of Spring Semester
As we enter into our final week of classes, we want to thank you for your efforts to comply with COVID challenges and safety requirements throughout the semester. For those who will be returning in January, please continue to check our COVID-19 Campus Updates page for the most updated information and guidelines.

This week, we will continue to require mandatory surveillance testing for unvaccinated or partially vaccinated individuals who come to campus for any reason (e.g. in-person classes, living in the residence halls, student organization meetings, etc.). This testing also includes students who have an exemption and employees who have not submitted a Vaccination Attestation Form. As a reminder, individuals are NOT fully vaccinated until two weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series (i.e. the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines) or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine (i.e. the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine). If you do not meet these requirements you are considered partially vaccinated and must continue with weekly testing

Campus Masking Requirement
Due to the increased presence of COVID-19 variants, the indoor face covering/masking mandate remains in effect for all New York State. This requires everyone on campus to wear a mask while indoors regardless of vaccination status.
