[Important Information for Employees] End of Semester Message from President Enyedi

Dear Cardinals,

On August 27, after so many months of remote learning and limited contact
with one another, we came back to campus filled with hope. We came back
with optimism for the semester ahead.

We came back with a shared goal of returning into classrooms, seeing
professors, working with student support staff, socializing with friends in
the residence and dining halls, studying in the library, participating in
sports and clubs, and experiencing a typical, pre-pandemic semester.

We also came back to an ambitious COVID safety plan. Vaccinations. Testing.
Monitoring. Masking. Distancing.
It was a plan developed by your campus that required enormous effort,
sacrifice, and willingness to take care of one another. And in true
Cardinal fashion, we stepped up to the challenge.

Now, almost 4 months later, we have reached the finish line of the fall
semester with high vaccination rates and low case numbers across campus.
Thanks to the testing, monitoring and tireless services of our Student
Health and University Police, the diligent support of dedicated faculty and
staff, and your perseverance, each of you are now one step closer to
realizing your educational dream at SUNY Plattsburgh.

I am so proud of you and wholeheartedly thank you for all we have
accomplished together this semester.

To those who will graduate this weekend, I congratulate you on a job well
done; as alumni, you will represent the best that SUNY Plattsburgh has to
offer. To those returning in January, I look forward to our continued work
together and commend your perseverance and commitment to achieving all you
can here.

While we continue to navigate the difficult unknowns of the world, we are a
better, stronger campus than we were a year ago at this time.
Because, through the determination and hard work that best represent us as
Cardinals, we came back.
