Dear Campus Community,
One additional student tested positive today for COVID-19. The student is
isolated and following health and safety directions.
We respect the privacy of this student and will support them. If you are
aware, please also respect their privacy.
Nine total cases have been reported this week and 11 total since
mid-August. With continued aggressive contact tracing through the county
health department, there are currently 72 asymptomatic students in
quarantine (37 on-campus and 35 off-campus). 8 total students are in
precautionary isolation having tested negative with rapid tests but
awaiting back-up PCR test results.
We can flatten the curve with heightened attention to health and safety
details. This and other updates were discussed in today's virtual town hall
meeting. You can *watch it here

We are waiting for this week's seventh round of pooled surveillance testing
for COVID-19. The results will likely be shared tomorrow after they are
returned from SUNY Upstate Medical University from the 897 samples taken
this week.
Pooled testing will continue this week with more students. The latest data
and other details are online at *plattsburgh.edu/covid-19*
