Dear Campus Community,
A second off-campus student has tested positive for COVID-19. The
individual is linked to the case reported to campus on Monday.
The student is following prescribed protocols. The county health department
is engaged in further contact tracing to reach those who may have been in
close contact with the individual.
As we have said, positive cases are expected and the reason for isolation,
quarantine and the approaches developed in our fall restart plan.
We respect the privacy of individuals and will support them. If you are
aware, please also respect their privacy. This is the fourth case in total
reported since the fall semester resumed in mid-August.
As a reminder, please continue to follow health and safety protocols such
as face coverings and social distancing. The number of cases in Clinton
County as a whole have risen since October 1 and continued vigilance is
important.
Pooled surveillance testing for COVID-19 will continue tomorrow with more
than 1,000 students. The latest data and other details are online at
