Dear Campus Community,
The college recorded two new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday. Over the past 14
days, 83 total cases have been recorded.
By direction of the county health department, 112 students (39 on-campus
and 73 off-campus) and two employees are in mandatory or precautionary
quarantine. Additionally, one student is in precautionary isolation having
tested negative with rapid tests but awaiting back-up PCR test results.
Those in isolation and quarantine are being released as they recover and
risk times expire. We respect the privacy of those in isolation and
quarantine and will support them. If you are aware, please also respect
their privacy.
Pooled surveillance testing will continue tomorrow for college employees.
Most students have already left the Plattsburgh area or will be returning
home soon. As we transition to Thanksgiving break then fully remote classes
for the rest of the semester, I ask you to take the Cardinal Pledge each
day wherever you are: wear your mask, practice social distancing, wash your
hands, avoid large social gatherings, and stay home when sick.
Those who remain on campus over the next couple days should limit
gatherings and activities to only those that are necessary. Please reach
out to relevant organizers, supervisors or faculty with specific questions.
Dr. Alexander Enyedi
President
